This page explains what The Color Game ("we") collects and why. Questions: aaa@playthecolorgame.com.
What we collect
- Game data. Your initials, scores, the colors of each round, and match results. Leaderboard entries are public.
- An anonymous player id. It's created by Google Firebase when you first play, so your scores stay yours. No sign-in is needed to play.
- Account details for hosts. If you sign in with Google to host matches, we receive your name and email from Google.
- Payments (if enabled). Subscriptions are handled by Stripe. We never see your full card number. Stripe shares your subscription status and the email you paid with.
- Ads and cookies (if enabled). If you accept cookies, Google AdSense may set cookies and use your device information to show ads. If you decline, no ad cookies are set. You can change your choice by clearing this site's data in your browser.
Who processes it
Google Firebase (hosting the database and sign-in), Cloudflare (serving the website), and, once enabled, Stripe (payments) and Google AdSense (ads, only with your consent). Each handles data under its own privacy policy.
How long we keep it
Leaderboard entries are kept permanently, like an arcade machine. Account and billing records are kept while you're a host and as long as the law requires afterwards.
Your choices
You can ask us to delete your account data or remove your leaderboard entries by emailing aaa@playthecolorgame.com. You can cancel a subscription anytime under "Manage subscription."
Children
The game isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their personal information.
